Condor - is a German airline based in Frankfurt am Main and based at Frankfurt am Main Airport. It is a subsidiary of the Thomas Cook Group.

CONDOR HAND-BAGGAGE AND BAGGAGE POLICY

LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE: LUGGAGE DIMENSIONS/WEIGHT

You can take on board: 1 piece of hand luggage with a maximum weight of 6 kg. The maximum dimensions must not exceed 55 x 40 x 20 cm. Hand baggage is carried in addition to the checked baggage allowance. In addition to hand luggage, a small handbag, a laptop/tablet and an umbrella can be carried on board free of charge.

CHECKED-IN BAGGAGE

According to the current IATA Dangerous Goods Regulation 2018, smart luggage items (incl. built-in GPS tracker, charging station for mobile phone + scales) may not be transported as checked luggage. Unless the lithium battery (power bank) can be removed and transported in hand luggage. Transport in hand luggage is permitted.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone may not be carried in either hand luggage or checked luggage, as there have been an increasing number of battery fires.

EXCESS BAGGAGE/SPECIAL BAGGAGE

Condor divides its flight routes into five zones:

  • Zone 1: Balearic Islands, Spanish & Portuguese mainland, Bulgaria, Croatia.
  • Zone 2: Canary Islands & Madeira, Turkey, Greece & Cyprus, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia & Gambia.
  • Zone 3: Eastern Africa, United Arab Emirates, Asia, Caribbean, Central & South America.
  • Zone 4: Southern Africa & Indian Ocean.
  • Zone 5: USA, Canada & Puerto Rico.
  • Depending on the flight zone and the fare booked, there is a right to luggage of 20, 23, 25 up to 30 kg. The weight limit may be spread over several pieces of baggage. In addition, Condor offers "excess baggage packages" (level: +5 kg, +10 kg, +15 kg and +20 kg). The price of the packages depends on the flight zone (approx. €39.99 and €209.99). If excess baggage is only determined at the airport, an additional fee of €10 to €20 per kg must be paid, depending on the zone.

    AIRLINE SERVICES

    IN-BOARD ENTERTAINMENT ON SHORT AND MEDIUM DISTANCES

    On short and medium-haul flights (Zone 1-2), an entertaining range of TV series, documentaries and children's programs is offered (in German and English), depending on the flight duration. In addition, there are varied music channels.

    PREMIUM ENTERTAINMENT ON LONG DISTANCES

    On long-haul flights (Zone 3-5) with the Condor Boeing 767 fleet, each passenger has a personal monitor - the entertainment program can be put together individually.

    Business Class and Premium Class passengers can use the wide range of premium entertainment options free of charge.

    Economy Class passengers have free access to a wide range of films and TV series. The complete premium entertainment offer is available for a surcharge of only 8.00 euros.

    FOOD ON BOARD

    On short-haul flights (economy class) within Europe (+ North Africa), on-board catering is not included in the flight price (flight zones 1+2). Meals are included free of charge in Premium Class. Meals can be booked with the flight. Onboard catering includes snacks, a standard menu (breakfast) or a pasta dish. As an alternative, there is a 3-course premium menu of your choice.

    PASSENGER RIGHTS

    FLIGHT DELAY COMPENSATION

    The passenger is entitled to different types of assistance and compensation.

    SHORT-ROUTE: As compensation for a flight delay of up to 1500 km, the passenger is entitled to €250. From a delay of 2 hours, the passenger gets free drinks, meals and two telephone calls, e-mails or fax.

    MEDIUM DISTANCE: If the delay is up to 3500km, the passenger is entitled to 400€. For the waiting time of 3 hours or more there are free drinks, meals and two telephone calls, e-mails or fax.

    LONG-DISTANCE: For delayed long-haul flights up to 3500km there is 600€. For a flight delay of 4 hours, the passenger receives free drinks, meals and two phone calls, emails or fax.

    5 HOURS DELAY: If the delay is more than 5 hours, the passenger can either cancel his flight (regardless of the flight route booked). The airline is obliged to reimburse the costs. Alternatively, you can board another airline.

    BAGGAGE DAMAGE

    In the event of baggage damage, the passenger should go to the Lost and Found counter immediately upon arrival to file a damage report. In cooperation with the airport luggage service Frankfurt and Dolfi 1920 GmbH, Condor offers the processing of the damage - the luggage is examined and repaired. If a repair is not feasible, the baggage will be exchanged for an equivalent piece of baggage.

    LOSS OF BAGGAGE

    Lost luggage should be reported to Condor's customer service immediately, no later than 7 days. In order to report the loss of baggage contents, a form must be filled out at Condor. The point in time at which the information is sent to customer service is decisive.

    RATES

    A hand luggage of 6kg is included in the Light fare. Baggage allowance is not included. A rebooking is not possible with this tariff. If the flight is canceled, no refund of the flight price is possible. Infants under the age of 2 receive a 90% discount.

    CLASSIC TARIFF + FLEX OPTION ARE DIVIDED INTO ZONES:

    Zone 1 includes the Balearic Islands, Balkans, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Italy, mainland Spain and Portugal.

    Zone 2 includes Iceland, Canary Islands, Cape Verde & Madeira, Cyprus, Malta, Greece & Turkey, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Gambia & United Arab Emirates.

    Zone 3 includes East Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Central and South America.

    Zone 4 includes South Africa & Indian Ocean.

    Zone 5 includes the US, Canada & Puerto Rico.

    CLASSIC RATE

    The Classic Tariff is divided into different zones:
