HAUPTSTADTKOFFER IS A LUGGAGE BRAND FOUNDED IN 2011

Every day at the baggage carousels around the world you see the same thing: black and gray suitcases everywhere you look. Identifying your own in the crowd can sometimes be complicated. It's not without reason that travelers come up with the craziest ideas to distinguish their suitcase from the others. Colorful foil or gift ribbon in bright colors are practical, but also quite unsightly helpers. And so an idea was born: to produce suitcases that are like the city we live in. Colorful and diverse, sometimes elegant and light, sometimes compact and robust, with a high recognition value and, above all, anything but stuffy! The right name was therefore quickly found.

Today, Hauptstadtkoffer is still considered a pioneer in the Berlin start-up scene and has developed from an innovative startup into a global company. With well over 750,000 satisfied customers and trading partners in America, Asia and Europe, we have of course long since outgrown our startup status. What remains is a company concept that has set standards, and not just in the luggage industry. It was clear from the start that we didn't want to convince people with high-quality cases alone. From the outset, our philosophy included an extensive service offering that goes far beyond what other manufacturers can offer:

It is not without reason that the German capital is considered one of the most creative, innovative and modern cities in the world. This is where products, ideas and trends are created that are adapted worldwide. In 2005 it was time to revolutionize the old-fashioned luggage industry from Berlin. The entrepreneurs / business partners / friends Alexander Gobel and Sebastian Hartmann were inspired by the Neukölln melting pot and developed extremely break-proof and shock-resistant suitcases on a par with top brands such as Samsonite and Rimowa. The difference was that the suitcases were so colorful, cheeky and stylish that there was no need to fear their competition. Production was relocated to China in compliance with and control of the strictest ethical and social guidelines and the highest quality and safety standards. The Berlin-team has now grown so much that a move became unavoidable. Surrounded by industrial monuments in the south of Schöneberg, our designers, developers, logisticians and warehouse staff work hand in hand every day in a modern loft factory floor to make every travel destination a capital.
