TUIfly BAGGAGE POLICY (As of 2019)
TUIfly - TUIfly is a German airline headquartered in Langenhagen with its base at Hannover-Langenhagen Airport. It is a subsidiary of the TUI tourism group and a member of the TUI Airlines group alliance.
TUIfly Carry-on Baggage Dimensions and Weight
FREE BAGGAGE: SUITCASE DIMENSIONS/WEIGHT
Allowed on board: 1 carry-on suitcase, max. 6 kg, dimensions 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm
In addition to carry-on baggage, the following items may be carried:
- Laptop bag
- Ladies'/Men's handbag, Ladies'/Men's wallet
- Coat or wrap, scarf, cravat or a blanket
- Shopping bag containing items purchased in duty-free shops
- Umbrella (except those with a pointed end)
- Small camera or binoculars
- Books and magazines for reading
- Walking aids or crutches on which the passenger depends
- Baby changing blanket
- Baby food

Airline Services
ON-BOARD ENTERTAINMENT
Passengers are welcome to use their own devices on board to pass the time with a film or similar. The device must be switched to flight mode before take-off. Films and series are not shown on monitors on board.
FOOD ON BOARD
"Delicious, More Delicious, TUIfly"! The TUIfly Bistro has something for every taste. Passengers can choose between various hot dishes or, for a small snack in between, reserve a delicious sandwich, for example. Every traveler can order a desired meal from the TUIfly Bistro during or after booking their flight online, at a travel agency, or by phone at the Tuifly Servicecenter at 0180 6000 120 (20 cents per call from a German landline, mobile phone maximum 60 cents per call, technical provider mr. next id.) at least 48 hours before departure.
Passenger Rights
CANCELLATION
If booked flights cannot be taken, the passenger-related taxes and fees levied for the unused flight segment will be refunded. A processing fee of EUR 15 (CHF 21/GBP 13/USD 21/CZK 370/SEK 140) per person and cancelled flight will be charged. The Ticket Service Charge is non-refundable.
MISSED FLIGHT
If a passenger does not arrive in time for departure, they lose their right to carriage but are still obliged to pay. Unfortunately, a free rebooking or cancellation cannot be made in such a case. We recommend leaving home early to be at the airport at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure time.
COMPENSATION FOR FLIGHT DELAY/CANCELLATION
If your flight has been cancelled or severely delayed, or if you have been denied boarding on a flight for which you have a confirmed booking, you are entitled to the rights under EU Regulation 261/2004. This came into force on 17.02.2005.
Should a passenger ever have reason to complain about their TUIfly flight, these will be processed as quickly as possible. Complaints should be sent by email to kundenservice@tuifly.com or by post to the following address:

Please describe what happened and remember to include your booking number (six-digit letter/number combination) as well as flight number, route and flight date. Only in this way can your request be quickly assigned and processed.
BAGGAGE DAMAGE/LOSS
Liability for baggage damage/loss caused while in the care of the TUIfly website and/or the operating airline is assumed by the head office. This is also assumed if a valid contract of carriage exists. Accordingly, taking out travel baggage insurance is recommended.
It is important that the traveler contacts the Lost & Found office at the arrival airport immediately in the event of baggage damage/loss. The immediate and written report is proof that the damage occurred with the respective airline. The legislator has stipulated a reporting deadline of 7 days for international travel and 3 months for domestic German travel. By then, the incident must have been reported to the airline with which you flew at the latest. TUIfly airline customers should contact lostandfound@tuifly.com. After the deadline has expired, there is no longer any liability.
Fares
The airline TUIfly has two fares, Pure and Perfect, which can be adapted as individually and flexibly as the passenger wishes. With the inexpensive Pure fare, you only pay for the flight and can book individual services. With the Perfect fare, many extras such as baggage and meals are already included. With the inexpensive Pure fare, the traveler only pays for the flight. However, like a modular system, every passenger can book individual extras. For example, a piece of baggage, a snack and a drink. With the Perfect fare, you book an all-round carefree package. Here, many extras are already included and others can be flexibly added.
