2) What this website offers and does

This website is an online shop for the sale of goods.

Goods here means physical items.

Goods are presented to you here which can be added to an electronic basket and then ordered and paid for bindingly.

This website has a header menu and a footer menu.

The header menu lists the goods we sell by category, and each can be opened from there individually.

Every item is described on its own detail page, with further information on its essential characteristics, what is included and the total price. From there it can be added to the electronic basket.

The header menu also gives access to the electronic basket once you have added at least one item to it. From that basket the electronic ordering process can be started and completed.

The footer menu contains links to our legal notice with our contact details, to information on the legal basis of our online offering, to delivery and payment options, and to further helpful service pages.

3) Notes on using the offering and its functions

3.1On-screen buttons

This website can be operated using on-screen buttons.

3.2Home, overview and detail pages

In the central area of the home page you will find a selection of the products on offer. Interacting with a product presentation takes you to that product's detail page.

The header menu lets you navigate between the different product categories.
Selecting a category takes you to an overview page showing all the products in that category.

Interacting with a product presentation on the overview page again takes you to the product detail page.

Besides all the essential information about the product and the total price, the product detail pages may contain a quantity selector and an add-to-basket button.

Where present, the quantity selector lets you set the order quantity you want.

3.3Electronic basket

Pressing the add-to-basket button adds the product (in the quantity chosen, where applicable) to the electronic basket.

This electronic basket can be opened at any time from the header menu.

Here you can first review the products you have added. Using the corresponding buttons, products can be removed again or, where applicable, their order quantity changed.

3.4Electronic ordering process

After reviewing, you can complete the electronic ordering process by interacting with the corresponding buttons.

To do so you will first be asked to enter your contact details in a form (at least your name, e-mail address and delivery or invoice address).

In the next step you can then choose between the available delivery or service options.

Finally you can choose one of the available payment methods, enter the necessary payment details and complete the order.

The order is only placed bindingly when the button provided for that purpose on the final order page is pressed. It is labelled "Buy", „Buy now“, „Order with obligation to pay“ or some other unambiguous wording.

Before pressing that order button you can use your browser's „Back“ button at any time to return to the previous steps and/or abandon the ordering process.

If you have chosen to pay using an online payment method, you will be forwarded from the final order page to the payment provider's system to make the payment there.

This website meets the accessibility requirements through the following measures:

• Alt text for images: images in the online shop carry alternative text giving a short description of the picture, which can be processed by screen readers.
• Accessible captchas: so-called „captchas“ may be used to ensure that input comes from a human. These captchas can be solved not only by visual matching but also by answering simple reasoning tasks.
• Cascading Style Sheets (CSS): a language is used that separates the presentation of page content - its layout, colour and styling - from the structure of that content. This makes it possible for assistive technology to apply its own visibility schemes when presenting the page content.
• Verified correctness of HTML code: all HTML code is continuously checked for correct operation, so as to rule out failures and content that assistive technology cannot read.
• Sufficient character spacing: characters are displayed with sufficient spacing between them so that legibility is not impaired.
• Responsive design (adapting to different screen sizes): the content, elements and functions adjust their dimensions automatically to the size of the screen in use.
